Resort Information In the Grandvalira skiing area that includes the skiing resorts of Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig, Pas de la Casa and Porte des Neiges Soldeu comes alive in the winter months as a skiing town. The village is at 1710 metres and the top of the ski area is at 2580 metres. The gondola from the village rises to 2250 meters where the ski and board schools as well as restaurants are located. The village is more family orientated than neighbouring Pas de la Casa. Overall, Soldeu is an excellent venue for beginners and second-timers, with decent skiing, all-round good value and occasionally decent nightlife.
