Official Rating - 4* - All Inclusive The stylish, family run Hotel Waldhof offers an excellent standard of accommodation with great food and service. Zell am See is the ideal Alpine destination with a wide range of sporting facilities on and around picturesque Lake Zell. Accommodation and Facilities The friendly Hotel Waldhof consists of two buildings which are connected by a tunnel. The well appointed bedrooms can accommodate up to three persons and are located in the original building. They feature bath or shower, toilet, telephone, cable television, radio, mini-bar, safe and balcony. The larger, stylish Junior Suites, suitable for up to four persons, are similarly equipped and are in the new building which lies directly across the road. The comfortable public areas include reception, spacious lounge bar, attractive dining room and a wine cellar. The hotel offers a pleasant range of leisure facilities, all of which are included for guests: sauna, two whirlpools, steam-bath, solarium and heated outdoor swimming pool with sunbathing lawn. Table football and billiards are available, and massages may be arranged, for a small local charge. Bicycles are complimentary (subject to availability). The Hotel Waldhof All Inclusive arrangement includes an extensive buffet breakfast, packed lunch (self service from the breakfast buffet), or light buffet lunch from 12:00 - 13:00, afternoon coffee or tea with cake from 15:00 - 17:00 and 4 course evening meals with choice of main course plus starter and salad buffet, or themed buffet evening meals. The hotel also arranges occasional barbecues (weather permitting), regular dance evenings with live music, Karoake evenings and wine tasting, in the hotel?s own wine cellar. Unlimited soft-drinks, tea, coffee, draught and wheat beer, house wine and Obstler schnapps are included from 7:30 until midnight. Location Situated in an elevated position, an approximate 10 minute walk from Zell am See?s pedestrian centre and a 15 minute walk from the lake. Resort Information & Things to Do The bustling town of Zell am See lies on the shores of picturesque Lake Zell and is one of the most popular Salzburg holiday destinations, in both summer and winter. An almost endless range of mountain activities and water sports are available in this area, known as the Europa Sport Region. Activities available locally include: Swimming and Watersports: With summer water temperatures of between 21 and 24 degrees, the Zell Lido is a favoured place for guests and locals alike. Swimming, windsurfing, sailing, diving, waterskiing, kayaking and fishing are all available on this picturesque Alpine lake. A small fleet of leisure steamers criss-cross the waters, providing panoramic tours and easy access to places of interest around the lake. For the less adventurous, Zell also has a great leisure centre, which boasts an indoor swimming pool with integrated whirlpool, diving board, water slide and children?s pool. A sauna, steam-bath, infrared cabin and massages are also available. Cycling and Mountain Biking: Majestic peaks, lush green meadows and a sparkling lake create a scenic backdrop to this bikers? paradise. A great selection of easy cycling routes and more demanding uphill and mountain tracks can be found in the Europa Sport Region. Walking and Hiking: One can go walking and hiking most places in Austria, but no other region offers such spectacular scenery. A diverse flora and fauna, traditional mountain inns offering true Austrian hospitality and almost unlimited walking and hiking paths. A number of lifts in these areas are also open in summer, making the ascent to the peaks easier for the less energetic.
