From the hotel it is not far to the picturesque castle "Schloss" in Poppelsdorf. 0608 hm.
The building is a very modern block built in the 1970's and it is very imposing, though not classically beautiful.
The standard bedrooms are furnished in 'cherry wood' furniture, which is highly polished. The predominant colour is cream. The rooms are only medium sized, a bit small for a five star hotel. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in very good condition.
The gourmet restaurant, "Majestic" offers international food in very upmarket surroundings. The "Hofkonditorei Bierhof" is furnished with light wood wall panelling, and attractive traditional ceiling, with tables and chairs with purple upholstery. There is also a delightfully tranquil terrace where guests can enjoy a drink or meal, weather permitting.
The large lobby is very grand and traditional with dark wood panelled walls, dark brown leather chairs and plenty of plants.
The hotel is situated in a peaceful yet central location on the famous picturesque "Poppelsdorfer Allee" next to the train station and only a short stroll away from city centre.
