The President Hotel is located directly on Collins Avenue, minutes away from the famed pedestrian shopping and entertainment center of Miami Beach, Lincoln Road, as well as a vast array of restaurants, cafes and other entertainment venues. Tastefully renovated in 2007-2008, the 64 guest rooms are all different, each appointed with one wall entirely covered with a picture portraying green elements of nature and complemented by an accent decorative pattern in a stylish cut-out sequence. The theme color of the President is green, due to its predominantly natural color scheme of green and white, simply peaceful and crisp guest rooms. The President Hotel, designed by L. Murray Dixon, is an elegant example of 1930s Classic Art Deco with recessed corners, framed windows, horizontal banding, decorative wrought iron railings and patterned terrazzo floors. The President Hotel building was designed in 1936 and built in 1937. It was converted to efficiency apartments during World War II. The original features of the building including floors, murals, and ironwork have been restored to their original splendor. The Hotel is located in the heart of the Art Deco District and just one block from the beach. This property offers easy access to explore numerous attractions including the Miami Beach Convention Center, Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive, the Filmore Theater and Collins and Washington Avenues, which are all within walking distance. The main attraction is the fact that each room in the Hotel is completely unique, featuring a different full wall oversized picture with natural themes and colors, high-thread-count linens, Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers, Plasma television, air conditioning, iron and ironing board, compact refrigerator, bathroom amenities, iPod docking station, wireless Internet, in room safe, clean line furniture, which all combined create a one-of-a-kind and one-of-a-time experience. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. Please note that a $200.00 security deposit will be taken by the hotel in the form of cash or credit at check-in. This deposit will be refunded upon check out.
