The Pound Inn, circa 1649, is situated in the village of Coxley, 2 miles from Wells, England's smallest city. It is an extremely friendly and welcoming traditional village public house, offering fresh, honest home cooking which is available everyday, real ales and a good selection of beers, wines and lagers.Bed and breakfast is available in this delightful pub originally part of the estate belonging to the Bishops Palace. The Pound Inn is an ideal base to visit the many attractions in the area, all within easy reach. You will find Glastonbury (5 miles), Cheddar (6 miles), and the Bath and West Showground at Shepton Mallet (7 miles).Our rooms are clean, warm and comfortable and all en-suite. All rooms are non-smoking. A separate entrance to the accommodation allows you are to come and go as you please, throughout your stay, with no worries of time to be in.Families with children are most welcome, as are dogs, by prior arrangement. There are many places to enjoy a walk, some do require you to drive there, but are well worth it.We have live music featuring both local and more well known bands, on some Friday nights, finishing at midnight. Landlord and landlady, Terry and Anne O'Connell, and all the staff, welcome you and invite you to spend some time relaxing in this lovely traditional English public house.
