A shopping centre, bars and restaurants, a cinema, a swimming pool and a fitness centre are all close by. Made up of a series of small villages, Serre Chevalier is situated towards the north of the Hautes-Alpes, and enjoys excellent weather. Nearby Briançon even holds the European record levels for sunshine. How to get there Closest airports TRN/GNB/CMF. The guests may get to Serre Chevalier from Chambery Aix Les Bains airport (CMF), Grenoble/Saint Geoirs Airport (GNB) 140 km away and Turin Airpot (TRN) 110km away. Accommodation & Facilities Each chalet has a lounge with sofa bed, garden, dining area and a fully fitted kitchen with four hobs, oven, dishwasher and fridge. Finally the hotel must inform its guests that there is a tax per adult per night paid locally. There are plenty other sports apart from skiing for the guests to attend as, paragliding, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata, water sports. The guests, may also visit the library, cinema, night club, museums, bowling, swimming pool, fitness centres, Briançon - the old town plays host to a market each week and its shops offer lots of regional produce. It is difficult to summarise the skiing in this vast area, which itself is divided into different ski regions. However one of the main differences between skiing in the Northern Alps and the Southern Alps is sunshine! There are some epic runs, like the Sarenne in Alpe d?Huez, which is the longest run in Europe at over 17kms (Starts black and finishes green).
