Overlooking the Valmeinier resort, the Pierre and Vacances Thabor residence boasts an exceptional panoramic view. Comprised of four buildings (Caribou, Elan, Renne and Chamois) that are in harmony with the surroundings, it offers spacious apartments with relaxation areas (swimming pool, sauna). Slopes are accessible directly on skis.

Closest aiports: CMF/GNB/GVA/LYS. Valmeinier can be reached by 100km from Chambery / Aix airport (CMF) 100 km, Lyon Saint Exupery airport (LYS) 195km, Geneve Cointrin airport (GVA) and Grenoble/ Saint Geoirs Airport (GNB).

Accommodation & Facilities
All apartments are equipped with a kitchen area (cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee-maker and kettle), bathroom, separate toilet, telephone, television, vacuum cleaner. All beds are fitted with duvets / bed linen and bath towels included. The hotel also offers to its guests, ski lockers, launderette service, hamper delivery service (at a charge) and apartment preparation service (at an extra charge). The guests may also enjoy small dishes at the bar-restaurant of the hotel. Apart from skiing there are also several winter activities the guests may join. There is a natural skating rink, orientation course, icefall climbing, tobogganing slope, bouncy castle (from mid-March), there is also a fitness room (? massages, sophrology etc.), Ski Legend son et Lumiere show recounting the history of skiing (during the school holidays), concerts, shows, cabaret singers in resort bars and pubs and a cinema. The guests should note that pets are admitted at an extra charge. Also guests should note that there is a tax per adult per night paid locally and a refundable deposit paid locally and returned after departure is required.

For the younger guests there is a kids club however the parents should be reminded that a health record, including up-to-date vaccinations (at least BCG/triple+ Polio) must be presented in childcare centres, clubs and mini-clubs.
Location
Valmeinier is a charming resort in the heart of the Maurienne, offering a warm, authentic ambience especially enjoyable for families. The resort boasts a vast ski area with 150 km of slopes, and an endless horizon. Experienced and novice skiers alike will find what they are looking for.
Ski Facts
With over 150 km of slopes between 1 430 and 2 600 meters high and excellent conditions, the newly baptised Galibier-Thabor ski area (We?ll keep calling it Valloire/Valmeinier for a while longer) has got something for everyone. The ski area is linked to the neighbouring resort Valmeinier giving 180km of well-groomed runs. The resort is recommended for beginners and intermediates - skiers as well as snowboarders. Beginners may particularly enjoy the fact that there are nursery slopes at the top of the mountain. Intermediates have a good choice of runs including some nice reds and not too-challenging blacks that may be within the means of most intermediate skiers. For advanced skiers, there are few blacks only, some of which can be considered testing, and a fair bit of off-piste when the conditions are right. The skiing conditions are remarkably good throughout the season due to the fact that the most of the terrain is north facing with 70% of the ski area is located above 2 000 m high.
There is a 170 m vertical drop, 33 ski lifts and 85 slopes of every level, a capacity of more than 42 000 skiers / hour, optimum snow cover from December to April thanks to more than 400 snow-canons, also three slalom slopes and two competition slopes and finally freestyle areas and 10 picnic areas.
