Ski Facts
Beginners may be limited to the gentle nursery slopes in La Daille and the main village, but everyone else has free run of the mountains in Val d?Isère. Le Solaise offers some great blue runs, whilst the Le Fornet glacier has some quieter, higher intermediate slopes with stunning views. Bellevarde meanwhile offers some excellent runs at all levels, including La Face ? a terrifying Olympic black. On top of all that, you have access to a world-class snowpark and some truly fantastic off-piste. And of course, there is still Tignes to explore for yet more glacier skiing.
With 150km of pistes all to itself, Tignes has something for everyone. Beginners can find their feet on the decent nursery slopes, while intermediates will find plenty of challenges on the blues and reds. Peaking at 3656m, the Grande Motte Glacier is home to some of the most serious skiing in the area, with some truly fantastic off-piste to explore. You?ll also find a popular snowpark up here that keeps the same dates. An efficient lift system links the pistes so you?ll not have to waste too much time in long queues.
For St Foy en Tarentaise (1550-2650m), although it is not part of the Espace Killy, you are just 11 kms from Tignes, and the skiing in St Foy is excellent, offering rugged terrain, less pisted runs and more off-piste.
Skiers, boarders and telemarkers alike will revel in the powder in St Foy just yards from the pistes or amongst the trees, which lasts for days thanks to its north-west facing slopes. Take a guide to explore one of the renowned off-piste routes to the deserted farming hamlet of Le Monal, or the infamous 1700 m vertical descent of the north face of Fogliettaz.

In addition two new runs have been created, the blue Grand Solliet trail (2006) and a red, la Fogliettaz (2007).
NB: St Foy is not part
