The entirely renovated Residence of La Riviere with its wooden facades is located in the district of Chamonix Sud, 300 m from the Aiguille du Midi cable car and 5 minutes from the resort centre.

Accommodation & Facilities
All the 74 apartments are equipped with a kitchenette with a minimum of two hot plates, refrigerator, microwave oven, dishwasher, electric coffee maker, balcony, bathroom and television (at a charge.) The Residence is offering free of charge to its guests, ski lockers, launderette, unsupervised luggage room and a shuttle to the slopes. At an extra charge the residence is providing to the guest a hamper delivery service, baby kit, cleaning, cleaning kit, a baby kit (suitable for children aged 0 to 2 years (highchair for children aged 6 months and above).For children weighing over 15 kg, we recommend using the bed safety rail available on loan at reception.) and a hamper delivery service. Pets are also acceptable at an extra charge. Guests should note that there is a tax per adult per night paid locally and that bed and bathroom linen are provided. Also a refundable deposit paid locally and returned after departure is required.

The resort has a kids club, however the residence would like to remind the parents that a health record, including up-to-date vaccinations (at least BCG/triple+ Polio) must be presented in child care centers, clubs and mini-clubs.

Apart from skiing the guests can join other leisure activities as, panoramic flights, dog sleds, walks with snowshoes, trips in a barouche cart, paragliding, icefall climbing,. They can also join the Richard Bozon sports centre which has a swimming pool, sauna, hammam, weights room, climbing wall, tennis and squash courts and an ice ring. Additionally there can play bowling, visit the tobogganing park, or enjoy paintballing, bridge, pool, table tennis, or even visit the library cinema, video games arcade, night clubs, restaurants and shops or even the Casino (situated only 500m away.) In the area there are also available doctors, chemists, dentists, and a physiotherapist. There are also banks and cash machines throughout the resort.
Location
Located at the foot of Mont Blanc in an altitude of 1350m, the historical resort of Chamonix is a genuine Alpine town. Ski Facts
Many of the original ski lifts and jumps from the 1924 Olympics remain in operation today. The skiing area is said to be the most remarkable in the Haute Savoie. You?ll find some of the most challenging skiing in the world combining length, gradient and beautiful mountain scenery. For example La Vallee Blanche - descends 2,770m from the Aiguille du Midi down into Chamonix, (this run demands a guide as it is essentially off-piste and has many hidden dangers).
Chamonix is also an excellent area for intermediates. The skiing spreads over five main areas linked by shuttle services or gondolas: Les Houches, La Tour, Argentiere, La Flegere and Le Brevent, The Mont Blanc lift pass gives access to all these areas With the exception of Les Houches, it also covers the resorts of Megeve and Courmayeur (Italy).
