In the centre of Les Gets, close to the foot of the slopes and ski lifts for winter sports. The Chalet Hotel La Marmotte is in a really marvellous location. The wood-paneled entrance hall, the mountain-style furniture and the welcoming staff make you feel at home. The guests well-being is the primary objective here from the restaurant with its views of thee slopes to the nice warm traditional fireplace and the lounges and bar. Please note that smoking is only allowed in the restaurant.

The guests may get to Les Gets from Chambery Aix Les Bains airport (CMF), Grenoble/Saint Geoirs Airport (GNB), Geneve-Cointrin Airport (GVA) 55 km away and Lyon-St Exupery airport (LYS) 170km. Please note that check in and check out day for this property is only Saturday. Your stay should be either for 7 or 14 nights.
Accommodation & Facilities
All the 48 bedrooms are completely redecorated in a mountain style, with private bath- or shower-room with WC, television and direct phone lines. The guests should note that there is a tax per adult per night paid locally. The hotel may also provide a safety box in the room (at an extra cost). The guests may enjoy their meal at the restaurant, with the large windows which look out over the ski slopes, where they can enjoy the hotel?s refined cuisine which is a subtle mixture of tradition and imagination, and have their buffet breakfast in the morning. We serve dinner for the hotel?s very young clients in the Restaurant des Enfants (Children?s Restaurant) at 7.15 pm. At aperitif time, the perfect place to meet and have a chat or enjoy a nicely-flavoured cup of tea or a delicious cup of hot chocolate by the fireside, or even for a last drink after dinner (Open from 10 am to 10.30 pm.) The hotel is very proud of its new Spa (access free to the hotel?s guests). There are 8 cabins offering various treatments including balneotherapy, an affusion shower, sunbed and a rest room with a traditional fireplace.

Les Gets is situated in the Portes du Soleil ski area, at an altitude of 1172 m. Les Gets (1172m - 2002m above sea level) is a picturesque village in the heart of the Alps, and is one of the resorts linked to the Portes du Soleil ski area with its 650km of ski runs. The guests can really indulge themselves in skiing, without restraint (downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ski touring..) and do other winter sports such as tobogganing and skating (open air skating rink).

Some 40 years ago a group of friends dreamed of creating an immense linked ski area in France and Switzerland. Soon after the Portes du Soleil was born: a wintersports playground comprising 12 resorts, 2 countries ? France and Switzerland ? and 650km of glorious pistes! The skiing and snowboarding is among the most varied in the world...the Portes du Soleils summits and valleys beg to be explored. Although the whole area is not entirely linked by lifts, the vast majority of it is, and there is so much skiing, it is difficult to define favourite?s, although of course the Wall in Avoriaz is always fun (good skiers only!) * 278 pistes catering for all levels: 28 black, 104 red, 112 blue and 34 green.
