Walks through the village offer a variety of scenery from rural fields and the Weaver valley to the industrial architecture of Acton swing bridge, Dutton Locks and the impressive sandstone viaduct carrying the railway line over the river Weaver. The guest house was originally a barn for Wall Hill Farm, which is a grade 2 listed building.
