This is a modern building constructed with typical Portuguese architecture.

Rooms are quite basic but they are clean, comfortable, brightly decorated and well-maintained, making them an excellent low-cost base from which to explore Funchal and Madeira island.

The excellent Flame Tree Restaurant, which serves simple "modern Portuguese" cooking, using local seasonal ingredients and featuring Madeiran dishes. On warm days meals can be taken outside.

The lobby is small in size.
