Van Belle Brussels is a tourist class, older, homey type of hotel located 10 minutes from city centre, 1km from the Gare du Midi train station and 17 km from Brussels International airport. Since its foundation in 1906, the hotel has been under the Van Belle family's personal management, where guests will receive a friendly, attentive service. The hotel is situated just 1.6 km from the Grand-Place and a courtesy shuttle is available to take guests there, morning or evening. However this must be arranged with the hotel. A free transfer from the Midi train station to the hotel is also available on the day of the guest's arrival. Van Belle has 123 simply decorated and comfortable rooms. The modern rooms all have en-suite bathroom, wake-up alarm and cable television. Non-smoking rooms are also available. The restaurant offers an a la carte menu, as well as a spacious ground floor lounge, invitingly decorated, where guests can relax or if they prefer they can take up one of the comfortable seats at the hotel bar where guests have the choice of a wide selection of drinks and snacks. This is a great place to start a night out or 'chill' after a long day. The hotel reception is open 24hours and all the staff are willing to help were possible with any enquires guests many have. Disabled and elderly guests should be able to get around the hotel with ease with the use of the hotel lift. The staff are friendly and hospitable, willing to help out with whatever guests may need to make their stay in Brussels as pleasant and as memorable as possible.
