This is an excellent hotel in very good condition. This hotel also has an indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna. Car parking will be charged at £5.00 per car per day to all hotel residents. (BL 11/2007).
It is a large, modern red brick building with a large entrance. There are several gardens surrounding the hotel.
The spacious, double glazed rooms each have en-suite bathroom, colour television, hair-dryer, voice mail telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. The decor is very bright, modern and fashionable, and the rooms are in good condition.
The hotel has two excellent restaurants; one which offers a la carte menus and a set business lunch, whilst the more informal cafe, features an impressive hot and cold carving buffet. The captain's cabin is open until late and serves light meals.
The lobby area is decorated with modern art, new deco furniture, and unusual light fixtures. The long reception desk runs the length of the lobby and there is ample comfortable seating.
The hotel is set in the heart of Glasgow, just minutes away from the magnificent Royal Concert Hall and Theatre Royal. A little further afield are the museums and art galleries in Kelvingrove Park.
