Welcome to The Thatched Cottage, a four star, grade II listed building built in the 16th century and set in the beautiful Mendip countryside. The building has been fully renovated with a minimalist style and light, airy rooms. Our rooms feature oak floors, and have bathrooms with Italian slate tiling and power showers. We also serve delicious home cooked food in our restaurant, which was awarded an AA rosette in January 2007. Ideally situated, we are close to many of the local attractions. The Bath West Showground and Mendip Golf Club are less than 2 miles away. Wells Cathedral City, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Wincanton Race Course and Castle Carey station are all less than 10 miles away. If you wish to travel further afield, we are only 18 miles from Bath and 20 from Bristol. Of course, there are also the numerous walks around the Mendip countryside right on our doorstep.
