The hotel is built directly on the shore, overlooking the clear sea of Sissi, a small fishing village, 40 km east of Heraklion international airport. It is the nearest hotel in the area, 300m from to the sandy beach and two minutes walk from the village centre and beautiful picturesque harbour where guests will find taverns built high on the port?s pier, boutiques, jewellery, bars, souvenir shops, pharmacy, church, post office, hair dresser and banking service-cash points. On the shore across the port there is a small sandy beach perfect for a dip in the crystal clear Mediterranean. All places of interest can be reached by a regular bus service, bus stop directly outside the hotel. Malia is just 7 km away, with discos and dancing bars.
Accommodation
The hotel consists of double/twin rooms (mostly double), triple rooms and family suites (accommodating up to five persons). All rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with comfortable furniture, as well as satellite TV, international music channels, direct dial telephone (plus in-house communication), refrigerator, hair dryer, black out curtains, and bath/shower. There is also personally controlled air conditioning and safety deposit boxes available inside all rooms with an extra charge. All rooms have spacious balconies, terraces or verandas with a magnificent view on the blue sea, the mountains or the gardens.
Food & Beverage
Breakfast is served buffet style in the main restaurant. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and choose from a variety of white and brawn bread, cookies, cakes, marmalades, honey, cereals, Greek yoghurt, cheese, ham, and eggs cooked in different ways. At noon there is a choice of Greek dishes and snacks at the pool bar. Dinner buffet offers various Greek and International dishes.
All Inclusive Food & Drinks
The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:00) and dinner (18:30-21:00), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During lunch & dinner ice cream is offered. Lunch baskets with light food instead of lunch or dinner can be provided upon request the previous day. Snacks such as sandwiches & chips are available between 10:30 & 12:30 at the pool bar. Afternoon tea time with cake & ice cream is from 16:00-17:00. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like ouzo, raki, brandy, gin, vodka, rum, liqueurs, draught beer, house wine, draught soft drinks, coffee and tea are served from 10:30-23:00 at the pool bar and from 18:30-21:00 in the restaurant.
Sports & Leisure
The Sissi Bay offers four outdoor swimming pools (sea water) one of them with panoramic sea view, complimentary sun umbrellas and sun beds, large grassed area with Caribbean type umbrellas (free), gardens, two children?s swimming pools with seawater, sauna (with charge), billiards, volleyball court, table football, garden chess, mini golf (100m away), tennis court and water sports (with skiing, jet skiing, banana, wind surfing, pedals etc) available with charge at the nearby beach of Kalimera Kriti. The 18 hole Cretan Golf Club is 22 Km on the way to Lassithi Plateau. Folklore Cretan night with live music and with BBQ is also taking place every fortnight (at a charge). Occasionally, other events are taking place without extra charge. Also open-air Jacuzzi, water slide for children, wellness club with hammam, sauna, indoor pool and Jacuzzi, counter current swimming, massage room and gym.
Chargeable Extras
All drinks after 23:00, bottled water, bottled wine, bottled beer, canned drinks, juices, espresso, cappuccino, packed ice creams, special events, umbrellas for the beach, safety deposit boxes, a/c, day-use, internet access, wireless internet, baby-sitting and laundry service are available at a charge. Sissi bay provides medical service; a doctor visits the hotel on a daily basis.
