A towering hotel centrally located on Waikiki Beach, the Sheraton Waikiki offers panoramic views of the mountains, city, and the sea, and is approximately 12 miles from Honolulu International Airport. Local attractions include Diamond Head, approximately two miles away, and downtown Honolulu, located five miles from the hotel.
The Sheraton Waikiki is situated on one of the world's most popular beaches, where guests will surely wish to sunbathe and engage in water activities. The pool area is located by the beach, and features a main outdoor pool, children's pool, and lounge chairs. Each evening, Hawaiian musical performers serenade guests as the sun sets behind them. The Espirit Nightclub is located by the beach and features 180-degree views of Waikiki, live entertainment, and dancing until early morning. Additional amenities include a fitness center, kids' program, business center, once-weekly Hawaiian crafts demonstrations, laundry services, aerobic classes, tour assistance, parking (for a fee), gift shop, vending machines, newsstand, ice machine, 24-hour front desk, boutique shops, and a game room. Dining options include the Hanohano Room, located on the 30th floor, Japanese fare at Yoshiya Restaurant, the Ocean Terrace, Kau Kau Snack Bar, and the Sand Bar.
Guest rooms feature safes, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, cable TV, movies on-demand, bath amenities, high-speed Internet access (for a fee), and coffeemakers.
All rooms are newly renovated. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. A new resort pool is underway between Royal Hawaiian Hotel and Sheraton Waikiki and is planned as the largest resort pool in Waikiki. Complete December 2008. The Diamond Head side of the main lobby is undergoing an enhancement to open up the area and encompass a view of Diamond Head. The makeover is scheduled to be complete in February 2009.
