The small, family run Pension Schipflinger, located in the small village of Itter, offers a convenient and uncomplicated base from which take advantage of the fabulous skiing available in the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental region.
How to get there
Closest airport INN/MUC/SZG. The guests may get to Skiwelt Region from Innsbruck-Kranebitten Airport (INN) 76 km away, Munich ? Franz Josef Strauss Airport (MUC) 153 km away or Salzburg-W. A. Mozart (SZG) 89 km away. Please note that check in and check out day for this property is only Saturday. Your stay should be either for 7 or 14 nights.
Accommodation and Facilities
Owned and run by the friendly Schipflinger family, this pension has a total of eight guest bedrooms and features a bright breakfast room. All bedrooms are traditionally furnished and have shower, toilet and balcony; some can accommodate three persons. Guests will enjoy an extended continental breakfast with freshly baked bread rolls, a selection of cold meat and cheese, cream cheese, pate spread, butter, marmalade, occasional boiled eggs, juice and tea or coffee.
Location
The Schipflinger is located approximately 300 metres from the centre of Itter, and only 100 metres from the nearest drag lift, which is also where the ski school meets. The main gondola, the Salvistabahn, lies approximately 3 kilometres from the centre of Itter. Snow conditions and ability permitting, one can ski back to the village at the end of the day. The free ski bus, which operates to the gondola station, stops outside the pension.

Itter is part of Austria?s largest interconnecting ski region, the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental, which encompasses the resorts of Soll, Itter, Scheffau, Ellmau, Going, Brixen, Hopfgarten, Kelchsau and Westendorf. The area offers a wide range of runs for all standards and is ideal for beginners and experienced skiers alike. In a recent survey on the Top Resort internet platform, the Skiwelt was placed 4th best in a list of 4000 skiing regions worldwide! A new eight seater gondola, the Skiwelt-Kitzbuheler Alpen lift, planned to be completed for Winter 2008-09, will complete the final connection in the Skiwelt between the resorts of Brixen and Westendorf. As Westendorf is already connected to Kirchberg (in the Kitzbuhel region), by the Ki-West gondola, this new lift will connect the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental to Kitzbuhel-Kirchberg. The entire region, known as the Kitzbuheler Alpen will then be one of the three largest interconnecting ski resorts in the world, and covered by one lift pass, the Kitzbuheler Alpen pass (upgrade on the Skiwelt lift pass).
