The hotel is an attractive building with a striking modern design.

The rooms are medium sized. Half have a balcony and a view over Saimaa lake. They are nicely decorated with light checked patterns and cherry wood. They are in good condition, as are the bathrooms.

The restaurant is large and welcoming.

The lobby is small but attractive with marble floor, a green and brown colour scheme and a little fountain.

The Scandic Patria hotel is situated in the centre of Lappeenranta, just a short walk from the waterfront and city centre shops and attractions.
