Accommodation & Facilities
All twin rooms provide all necessary facilities, mini- bar, direct telephone line, satellite TV, combining business atmosphere and home coziness. All rooms have balconies, WC and private bathroom with shower and bath tube and hair dryer. Minimum occupancy of the room is one pax and the maximum occupancy is three pax. Guests should not that the family rooms consist of two twin rooms that are next to eachother. The hotel has two different types of restaurants: Samokov restaurant offers buffet breakfast and dinner as well as a la cart menu. Panorama restaurant, this is the place where you can enjoy delicious meals and a nice view to the mountain. At guests disposal, there is the lobby bar which offers different cocktails, hot drinks, and a great variety of cakes. The hotel is situated in the centre of the resort of Borovetz (1300 m above the sea level) and only an hour drive from the capital - Sofia.
Ski Facts
Borovetz is located at 1350 above sea level (with the highest runs at 2600m), on the Northern slopes of Rila mountain. The resort has facilities for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ski jumps and biathlon, ski-doo, etc, and has twice hosted World Cup competitions in Alpine skiing. Its biathlon track is one of the best in Europe. Usually the slopes of Borovetz have permanent snow cover from December to April.
There are ski runs available for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers, designed with international markings and multilingual signs. Runs are groomed to the highest standards. The ski runs of Borovetz are located in three different areas. Cross-country and biathlon tracks are located 2km away from the resort together with the cross-country tuition tracks. The runs for the ski jumps are 75m and 50m long and are serviced by a chair lift. New snow cannons for artificial snow are also provided in Borovetz. The ski patrol provides 24 hour emergency service.
