Commissioned as his dream house, Daniels chose to build on the bay of Rhu which he believed closely resembled the beautiful Bay of Naples.Caringly restored and converted to a small luxury hotel in 1973 the owners managed to retain the original bell tower and frontal facade along with some fine internal period features. The Rosslea maintains the warmth and traditional Scottish friendliness it had as a home while catering to the needs of todays more discerning house guests. Only 30 minutes from Glasgow Airport and less than 10 from the scenic beauty of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs the hotel is ideally positioned as a base for exploring the natural beauty of the area. Local shops and attractions are within easy walking distance of the hotel while a regular train service from nearby Helensburgh provides a quick and easy route into the city of Glasgow.
