Newly restored in 2004 by the English owners who have been in the hospitality business for 20 yrs and have created an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Located in the Kasbah quarter, two minutes walk from the Saadian Tombs and ten minutes from Place Djemma al Fna. Easily accessible by car/ taxi. The Riad comprises five Bedrooms that have all been individually designed by the owners and furnished using local craftsmen and materials in traditional Moroccan style. There is a large Patio with Zelige fountain and Palm trees. The spacious roof terrace with Lemon, Olive, Mandarin and Orange trees with other exotic flowering plants offers ample opportunity to sun bathe while enjoying the views of the Atlas Mountains. Or take some shade in the Moroccan tent while sipping your mint tea.
Accommodation
Riad Jonan features five individually decorated bedrooms. One standard room with en suite, air conditioning and safe. Superior rooms have a larger floor area with en-suite, twin or double beds (on request), air conditioning, mini bar, music system, safe and comfortable seating.
Food & Beverage
Included is an ample breakfast of Pastries, Home-made yoghurt, Moroccan crepes, fresh orange juice and eggs cooked to order with tea or coffee, which can be served either on the patio, the roof terrace, the salon or in your own room, the choice is yours. In addition to traditional Moroccan menus we are able to offer an extensive choice of cuisines from international to Asian and of course English, catering to all tastes.

Guests have access to internet, laundry service, excursions, car hire. Roof terrace with comfortable sun loungers, chill out Moroccan tent. On the ground floor is the comfortable salon with hand made sofas, English satellite TV, Music system and Large Arabian style fire place. Ideal for relaxing or reading your guide books. Multi-lingual staff always available for information and advice to ensure an enjoyable stay.
Useful Information
The Riad is located nearby or within the souk area of Marakech. As some taxi drivers may not know of the accomodation and may not be able to accompany guests to the door of the hotel, clients are advised to book a transfer from the airport where door to door service will be received!
Reps Opinion
Riads are the total Morrocan experience and always situated within the walled medina with its souks and markets. The streets are winding and cobbled therefore the transfer vehicles will get as close as possible and some walking may be necessary. Riads are small properties and family run, the staff are there to offer assistance and advice along with our free resort representatives. The bonus of Riads is the ability to request specific Morrocan meals (in advance) which will be home cooked to order and taken either in a traditional salon or possibly on the rooftop terraces. Riads are peaceful havens and very contrasting to the hustle and bustle of the Medina areas and are suited to couples, single travellers and families with older children, they may contain steps or narrow stairwells and the medina pathways are normally uneven and may not suit customers with walking difficulties or mobility problems. It must be noted that Riads are not hotels ? they are private residences and more intimate and traditional in their concept than a chain hotel. If you want to glimpse a taste of Morroco then rhese properties are a must!
