Puerto Plata village has earned a reputation for being an a good value for money family-style, all inclusive resort. The resort is situated on the renowned Playa Dorada golf course and a private beach club is located on one of the finest stretches of Playa Dorada beach just a 500 yard stroll across the golf greens - or a quick ride on one of the hotel?s shuttle cars that go back and forth all the time.
Accommodation
The 46 Master Suites of the hotel are about twice the size of other rooms providing for an ample sitting area. Wide French doors lead to a private veranda and gardens. The hotel also has 216 Superior rooms that are simply furnished and offer a private balcony and two double beds and 124 standard double rooms (no balcony). All rooms are equipped with individually controlled, air-conditioning, cable TV, full bathroom with tub and shower. All rooms have in-room safety deposit box, available at extra cost at front desk.
All Inclusive Food & Drinks
Guests are welcomed with a cocktail. The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:00-10:00), continental breakfast (10:00-10:30), lunch (12:00-14:30) and dinner (18:30-21:30), all buffet style, served in Altamira Cafeteria. During breakfast freshly made fruit juice, coffee, juices, etc are offered; during lunch, sodas & beer; during dinner, wine. Lunch can also be taken at the beach grill from 12:00-15:00. Also at the disposal of the AI guests for dinner is the Quinta cupey Oriental/Indian restaurant, La Regola (Italian) or La Pinata (Mexican) as well as the Pizzeria from 11:00-18:00 & 23:00-02:00. Snacks such as pizza and hot dogs are available at La Regoletta pizzeria from 11:00-18:00 & 23:00-02:00. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks are served at El Malecon pool bar, Guananico pub & bar, lobby bar (11:00-23:00), Ambrosia disco (23:00-02:00), El Arenazo beach bar (10:00-17:00) and the swim-up pool bar (11:00-17:00).

Sport facilities at the hotel include six clay surface tennis courts (daylight), swimming pool & separate children?s pool, daily programme of activities around the pool and beach, daily programme of activities for children in the kids club, bicycle riding (1hr/pay per guest), unlimited water sports (windsurf, kayaks, sailboat clinic, scuba diving clinic, windsurf clinic, catamaran lesson, boogie board - no limitations in alternative use but subjects to weather conditions and daily use programme), nightly entertainment with staff and guest participation as ell as free entrance to Ambrosia disco.

Puerto Plata is the gateway to the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Within a three hour radius of the resort you can experience some of the best golfing, scuba diving, white water rafting, windsurfing and whale watching in the world. This is a diverse land of rain forests, deserts, virgin beaches and coral reefs, often described as the Caribbeans Garden of Eden. International Airport General Gregorio Luperon (Puerto Plata) is only 15km away (approximately 20 minutes transfer time).
