The Plevna Hotel is a three star hotel situated in a smart residential area in Sliema offering a high level of personalised yet unobtrusive service. Its 100 elegantly furnished rooms, offer a comfortable and discreet elegance and the hotel boasts an excellent reputation within the most demanding markets.
Accommodation
All rooms are furnished to a high standard and offer the following facilities: en-suite bathroom, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridge, air conditioning (seasonal), satellite colour TV, hairdryer and room service (at a local charge). Safety deposit boxes are also available in the rooms as is a trouser press (on request), both incurring a local charge.
All Inclusive Food & Drinks
The AI programme consists of buffet breakfast (07:00-09:30, including English breakfast), three course lunch (12:30-13:45) and buffet dinner (18:00-20:30), all served in the main restaurant. Lunch though for the period between June & September can be taken at the beach club (weather permitting). During meals water, house wine, local beer, etc are offered. Guests can choose amongst vegetarian menus at the main restaurant as well. Snacks such as sandwiches and biscuits are available at the hotel bar between 11:00 & 23:30 and the pool bar from 09:00-17:00 (May-Oct, weather permitting). Customers can have ice cream during summer at the beach club. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like mineral water, tea, coffee, beer, house wine, soft drinks and a rich selection of spirits are served at the main bar from 11:00-23:30 (or from 18:00 from Jun-Sep) and the pool bar from 09:00-17:00, May-Oct (except during Jul-Aug that closes at 18:00).
All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment
Leisure facilities at the hotel include entertainment programme with live music two or three times weekly as well as bingo nights, quiz nights and film nights during the winter season.
Sports & Leisure
There is a private beach club only 200m away from the hotel with access to the sea, swimming pool, a safe paddling pool for children, showers and changing rooms. For sports enthusiasts facilities are available (seasonal) for windsurfing, diving, parakiting and much more. The beach club is open from May to mid - October (weather permitting).
Facilities & Services
Facilities include a recently refurbished restaurant, games room with a pool table and darts board at the bar area, three elevators, lounges, conference room, 24hr reception with currency exchange, excursion and car hire bookings, fax/internet service (at a charge), laundry service (at a charge), ironing room (free of charge) and free WiFi in the hotel lounges and conference room. Plevna hotel is not recommended for disabled due to the fact that there are stairs everywhere.
Please Note
Please note that until further notice a new block of apartments is being built at the back of the hotel, adjacent to the restaurant area. Some disturbance will be experienced at times due to machinery being used. Guests will be allocated far from works when availability allows. Furthermore, some building works are taking place along the coast of the Tigne peninsula. Although the noise level is controlled, the site is busy but guests are not directly affected. Completion of these works is unknown.
