Built on a promontory in traditional Aegean architecture and overlooking the deep blue bay of Aghia Pelagia, the Peninsula Hotel is surrounded by two unique beaches that offer a wide range of water sport facilities for all age groups, as well as a completely certified diving centre.
Accommodation
The Peninsula Hotel offers 250 double rooms and 16 family rooms. All of which are equipped with Cretan décor, a private bathroom, balcony or terrace, telephone, refrigerator, air conditioning, a radio and safety box (with extra charge).
All Inclusive Food & Drinks
The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:30-09:45), lunch (12:30-14:00) and dinner (19:00-21:00), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During breakfast coffee, tea and juices are offered; during lunch & dinner, wine from the barrel, draught beer, natural water and soft drinks (lemonade, coca cola, fanta). Tea & coffee time with cake & biscuits is daily from 10:00-17:00 at the tavern/snack bar. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, tequila, brandy, ouzo, raki, long drinks, draught beer, wine from the barrel, soft drinks, tin juices, coffee and tea are served till 23:00 at the snack bar (10:00-17:00, weather permitted), the pool bar (17:00-23:00, weather permitted), and the lobby bar (17:00-23:00, in low season).
All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment
Sport facilities at the hotel include pool games, coffee games, table tennis, tennis (prior reservation), darts, tournaments, competitions, selection of board games, volleyball, billiards (except 14:00-18:00), water ball, gymnastics, etc. There are also umbrellas & deck chairs around the swimming pool.
Chargeable Extras
Espresso coffee, the Pergola bar, the beach bar, all drinks after 23:00, Scuba diving courses, umbrellas & deck chairs at the public beach & on the plateau in the hotel area, laundry service, doctor or medical services, car rental, telephone, fax, email service, safety deposit boxes and mini market are available at a charge.
Facilities & Services
The Peninsula Hotel has elevators, registration / hospitality, tour desk, money exchange and a chapel. Conference facilities for up to 80 persons are available upon request. A local bus service connects the hotel to town and to the Airport 25 km away. Other services on request with extra charge include special treatment for honeymooners, birthdays, wedding anniversaries.
