Built on the incline of hill, this luxurious hotel boasts magnificent views of the bay of Chania and the historic islet of Thodorou. Totally refurbished in 2000, it is situated 5 km from the town of Chania, the most picturesque in Crete, and about 20 km from the CHA airport. The nearest sandy beach is located at about 750m from the hotel, across the road (downhill path from the gate to the main road). The awe-inspiring Cretan mountains dominate the green valley surrounding the hotel and the wild Samaria Gorge is only 30 km away. Traditional local ceramics and paintings in the hotels rooms and public areas tell the tale of the islands` history.
Accommodation
The hotel consists of two buildings, a 3-floor main building with 138 rooms and a 60-room building. Room types range from Standard to Superior and Suites beautifully appointed from mountain to sea view. Panorama Blue is a unique 35-room wing that consists of two types of accommodation. The Garden Superior Rooms (with a terrace) and the Garden Deluxe with Pool - which have a terrace and access to a shared pool right on their doorstep, and the suites. The Family Rooms are located in the 60-room second building of the hotel. Clients accommodated to those rooms will only be using the facilities of the Panorama Hotel. Due to their bigger size and the garden area in front of them, are ideal for families. All rooms and suites have a balcony or terrace, and a private bathroom with shower. They are fully air-conditioned and centrally heated, with satellite TV, mini bar, safe box, direct dial telephone, razor plug and hairdryer. The décor reflects the simple elegance of the Mediterranean that rests the eye and pleases the senses. Most rooms are twin bedded although some have double beds (on request).

Guests have a choice between the hotels international restaurant, the popular pool bar, the lobby coffee shop and a lavish room service menu. The elegant main bar offers an impressive range of cocktails and the best sunsets on the island.

The hotels two swimming pools are surrounded by terraces with designer bamboo furniture, stylish sunbeds and parasols. Leisure facilities include a tennis court and a basketball court, a gym, a sauna, billiards, a volleyball court, a massage parlour and a salon (on request). Hiking paths, boat trips and excursions to many interesting sights are available from the hotels reception. (not all above facilities or services are complimentary). The hotel offers a full programme of activities during the day and at nights, including weekly Greek evenings with live music & folk dances and special theme evenings.
