The Orwell Lodge Hotel has been converted from an elegant Victorian mansion, with recent renovations and extensions providing for a comfortable, modern hotel that still retains much of the old Scottish charm of the original building. The hotel resides in a country setting, with private parking available for residents.
With excellent transport links, the Orwell Lodge is on the main bus route and is a pleasant half hour walk away from Princes Street, the Royal Mile and most of Edinburgh's major attractions. Set in a leafy suburb of the city centre, the hotel still allows a little peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of these central activities.
All 10 bedrooms are tastefully decorated and come with ensuite shower facilities as standard, along with tea/coffee making facilities, colour TV, hair drier and direct dial telephone. If you want to grab a bite to eat there is an in-house restaurant and the welcoming lounge bar is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and on into the evening for bar snacks.
