Although some of the bedrooms could benefit from refurbishment, this is actually a fairly nice hotel and is located in the far north of Holland, in Friesland, the northern most province of Holland. It is probably one of the best hotels in the Friesland area.(201006NN).
It is a modern, low-rise building.
The bedrooms all vary in size but most are medium sized. While some are luxurious and offer marble bathrooms and jacuzzi bath, others could do with a lick of paint.
There are two Restaurants- one is the "taverne" where one can enjoy a relaxed, informal meal, and the other is the renowned "l'orangerie" which offers a more formal experience.
The lobby is small with a wooden reception area and marble flooring and small showcases of jewellery and other gifts. It is fairly dark as are all the public areas in general.
This hotel is located opposite the train station of Leeuwarden, close to the city centre.
