Each room has its own bathroom, telephone, satellite TV, hair drier, iron and some of them have terraces. The classic romance of a mountain hotel is well-combined with bold design and dynamic colours. The hotel has a restaurant with capacity of 120 seats and a lobby bar with a fireplace. Transport and organized mountain tours with licensed mountain guide, as well as visits of close cultural and historical sights are available. Excursions and hikes in Rila Mountain are also offered, such as Castle Tsarska Bistrica, Chernata Skala (Black Rock), Maliovitsa Peak (2729 meters), The Seven Rila Lakes, Mousala Peak (2925 m), Eco-paths, Rila Monastery, hunting and fishing, horse-riding, hikes for professionals and picnics for nature lovers, eco-paths, photo safari and off road. Location
Borovetz is the oldest winter resort in Bulgaria and the biggest ski centre, situated at 1350 m above the sea level, among venerable conifers, in the skirts of the highest peak on the Balkan Peninsula ? Peak Mousala (2925 metres). The climate of the resort is temperate: the winter is mild with many snowfalls.
Ski Facts
Borovetz is located at 1350 above sea level (with the highest runs at 2600m), on the Northern slopes of Rila mountain. The resort has facilities for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ski jumps and biathlon, ski-doo, etc, and has twice hosted World Cup competitions in Alpine skiing. Its biathlon track is one of the best in Europe. Usually the slopes of Borovetz have permanent snow cover from December to April.
There are ski runs available for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers, designed with international markings and multilingual signs. Runs are groomed to the highest standards. The ski runs of Borovetz are located in three different areas. Cross-country and biathlon tracks are located 2km away from the resort together with the cross-country tuition tracks. The runs for the ski jumps are 75m and 50m long and are serviced by a chair lift. New snow cannons for artificial snow are also provided in Borovetz. The ski patrol provides 24 hour emergency service.

Snow cannons: 2 km of ski runs covered by six snow cannons.

Snow boarding Try the Rotata half-pipe. With a vertical drop of 320 meters, the run was designed to satisfy both advanced riders in its upper end and beginners in its lower end. To make your snowboarding even more enjoyable the Rotata is equipped with its own drag lift.

Apres Ski:The night life is excellent at this resort. Borovetz is full of bars, cafes, night clubs, discos. Most of them work till the early morning, and offer good prices and special happy hour discounts. Music played is mostly international dance music. Very often special shows are presented at the clubs. There are restaurants and taverns with Bulgarian national folk music and horo dancing, which
