Having just completed a 10-million-dollar renovation, San Mateo Marriott is a Mediterranean-style hotel located midway between the San Francisco International Airport (about 10 minutes with free shuttle service) and the Silicon Valley high-tech business center. The hotel is situated at the crossroads of Highway 101 and Highway 92, providing great access to all points on the San Francisco Peninsula and Alameda County. Downtown San Francisco attractions are mostly a 30-minute drive. California Bar & Grill and The Marketplace provide the food; the courtyard pool and hot tub and fitness room provide the recreation. The hotel provides valet and self-parking (both for a fee), room service, valet laundry, gift shop, full business center, and concierge. There is over 22,000 square feet of world-class meeting and conference facilities on site, including uniquely elegant banquet space. Each room has cable television with in-room movies, work desk with lamp, two-line phone, speakerphone, voicemail, dataport, weekday newspaper delivery, complimentary in-room coffee, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, bathrobe, clock radio, and individual climate control. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. All Marriott Brands in North America, with the exception of Marriott Vacations Club International, have a smoke-free policy. Guests are permitted to smoke in designated areas outside the building.
