If the walls could talk...the Historic Columbus Marriott's walls could tell a colorful history. The 177-room hotel is built around an original Grist Mill, a red brick mill that began operations in 1861. A national landmark, the mill side was previously occupied by several cotton companies from 1847 until the first mill opened in 1861. The original brick was restored and converted into part of the hotel known as the Columbus Marriott. This part of the hotel houses two two-story suites with loft bedrooms, three meeting rooms, the Grist Mill Coffee Shop and Houlihan's restaurant, preserving the historic character of the century-old building. While there are many local restaurants downtown to dine, Houlihan's makes it an easy choice for dining with its eclectic variety of cuisine to include American, Southwestern & Asian served in a professional but casual atmosphere. Within walking distance to Riverwalk, Convention Center, entertainment and historic district. Nearby shopping, antiques, sport venues. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. All Marriott Brands in North America, with the exception of Marriott Vacations Club International, have a smoke-free policy. Guests are permitted to smoke in designated areas outside the building.
