Recently completely refurbished to a high standard (2006), this elegant hotel boasts excellent customer reviews and great transport links just by the hotel. ***LOCATION*** The hotel is conveniently situated just next to the London Bridge station which is served by 2 different tube lines and has direct train links to Gatwick and Luton airports. The Jubilee tube line connects directly to the West End (10mins) where most attractions, shops and nightlife are located as well as to Docklands/Greenwich. The hotel is within 10-min walking distance from Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Tate Modern gallery or the old Borough Market. There are many shops and restaurant in the immediate proximity of the hotel and along the South Bank river promenade. ***EXTERIOR*** The property is an attractive 5-storey traditional Georgian building. ***LEISURE FACILITIES*** The hotel has a fitness centre on the ground floor operated by Fitness First group which offers a gym, sauna, fitness classes and treatments. Please note that the centre is closed on Sundays. ***ROOMS*** Rooms are quite small in size, but very stylishly furnished in a fashion which combines traditional elegance with modern amenities.
