Lavris Hotel Bungalows is a traditional style hotel built in a natural setting. The hotel has been in operation since 1987 with constant improvements and renovations. Lavris Hotel is part of the Lavris Complex which consists of two hotels, the Lavris Hotel and Bungalows 3 star and the Lavris Paradise 4 star (newly built in 2003) with common facilities. The hotel is situated in the resort of Kato Gouves, 15 km east of Heraklion the capital of Crete. 14 km from the airport, 500 m from the fine sun beach and 2 km from the old picturesque village of Gouves. It is only 8 km from the bustling resort of Hersonisos and 16 km from Malia. All the above places can be visited by an efficient, cheap and regular bus service (every 30 min). Bus stop is only 150 m from the hotel.
Accommodation
The hotel consists of 112 comfortable rooms all with private bath or shower, equipped with direct dial telephone, hair dryer, safe (nominal charge), air-conditioning (individually controlled) and balcony or terrace. Some of them offer sea view or side sea view. TV and mini fridge are available at extra charge.
All Inclusive Food & Drinks
The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:30-10:00), lunch (13:00-14:30) and dinner (19:00-21:30), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. Snacks such as toasted sandwiches are available at the bar from 11:00-12:30 & 16:00-18:00. Biscuits, cakes and ice-cream are offered between 16:00 & 18:00. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like draught beer, wine by the glass, raki, ouzo, brandy, gin, vodka, tequila, rum soft drinks, cold beverages, juices, coffee and tea are served from 11:00-23:00.
All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment
English speaking animation is available with a light animation programme during the day & evening offering fun activities such as bingo, karaoke, etc and once a fortnight Cretan evening with traditional dancers. Children animation is available (2 hours per day).
Chargeable Extras
All drinks after 23:00, water sports in the beautiful beach of Gouves and a tennis court at a nearby hotel (2 min walking distance) are available at a charge. AI guests have also the opportunity to buy any premium beverages, alcoholic or not, at a great discount which applies only to AI customers.
Facilities & Services
The hotel offers a tastefully furnished reception, lobby bar, TV area (satellite), correspondence room and board games room, table tennis, mini market-souvenir shop, parking place, an open air children?s playground, children?s room-mini club, a pool snack bar, and restaurant. All public areas are fully air-conditioned. The great thing is that the hotels offer three fresh water swimming pools, one of them indoor, and two separate children pools. Other facilities available at extra charge: Gym, sauna, telephone, fax service, internet, safe deposit box, laundry, billiards, medical service, massage service, late check out (on availability basis).

All Inclusive guests will be given a bracelet that will allow them to take advantage of the AI programme. Check out is at 12:00. AI clients are required to submit their AI wrist bands on check out. Please note that during dinner proper attire is required. No shorts or flip-flops please.

The Lavris complex is a very warm and friendly property owned by the Smyrnakis family, they are dedicated to making sure their Customers have the most enjoyable and memorable stay. The family complex is catering for all ages, families with children, young and mature couples, it is enjoyable for everyone. It is in a good location, a pleasant stroll brings you to the nearby bars and restaurants of Gouves, and a short taxi ride away to the resort of Hersonissos.
