The hotel is a grand, typically traditional, Munich building, with a pale beige facade.
The rooms combine the charm of the past with the comfort of the present. They vary significantly in style depending on category, but the ordinary rooms are in very good condition, furnished with dark heavy furniture. All the rooms are large. The bathrooms of the standard rooms are in good condition.
One of the restaurants is a classic and traditional gourmet restaurant. It is elegant in style and atmosphere. Brasserie Jahreszeiten Eck is an informal restaurant. The snack bar is by the rooftop pool and the Jahreszeiten bar is a traditional popular meeting place for the fashionable people of the city.
The lobby is large and combines old world charm with luxurious comfort. The walls are covered with dark wood panelling and there is an enormous circular stained-glass skylight in the ceiling, depicting the four seasons.
The hotel is ideally located in the city centre, the Vier Jahreszeiten has some of Munich's finest shops on its doorstep on Maximilianstrasse. Many historic and cultural attractions are within walking distance of the hotel.
