The Grade 2* listed building was designed by the famous architect Robert Adam in 1761 as a Coaching Inn to house visitors to nearby Kedleston Hall. The Hotel offers visitors to the area, whether on business or pleasure, a unique and relaxing experience from the minute you walk through the door. Located just miles North of Derby the hotel provides an excellent base to explore Derbyshire whilst ensuring a tranquil setting in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Within Derby itself there are numerous museums, galleries and shops to visit. There are also a number of golf courses nearby. Set in beautiful surroundings the Hotel also provides an excellent base for a wedding venue.Our Restaurant offers a Table d'Hote menu at lunch times and a A La Carte menu in the evenings with a well stocked wine list to accompany your meal. The friendly lounge offers a cosy and relaxing atmosphere with the bar fully stocked with a large range of real ales, lagers, spirits and soft drinks.
