In November 1887, restaurateur Carl Kamp made a dream come true. The Hotel Kamp was born, offering a country on the threshold of independence a taste of great European cities, luxury and refinement like nowhere else, a level of service hard to imagine. The Hotel Kamp became an integral part of Finnish history, blending eastern and western Europe with art, politics and business life. Today, after faithful restoration, the Hotel Kamp takes its place once again in the heart of Helsinki - as genuine and elegant as in the past - an experience to delight all the senses. Many historically important decisions were made inside these walls. The luxurious hotel rooms have welcomed royalties, presidents and big artists as well as the business men already in the early 19th century. Hotel Kamp has 179 rooms individual guest rooms which have been completely refurbished retaining the original character of the hotel from the late 19th century, whilst providing all the modern facilities. Luxurious marble bathrooms are equipped with bath, separate walk-in shower and all dreamlike amenities. The biggest suites have also in-room sauna. Bathrobes and slippers are placed in the rooms for complete comfort and relaxation during your stay with us. All the rooms have color televisions with satellite, film and radio channels, 3 direct-dial telephones with voicemail and pc connection, Mini Bar and 24h Room Service. All the suites have a fax. We offer also the traditional Butler Service on request. The Laundry is at your service seven days a week.
