The friendly, family run Gasthof Ittererwirt lies in the centre of the small village of Itter. It is conveniently located for the ski hire and ski school meeting point, and offers a relaxed atmosphere and excellent value for money.
How to get there
Closest airport INN/MUC/SZG. The guests may get to Skiwelt Region from Innsbruck-Kranebitten Airport (INN) 76 km away, Munich ? Franz Josef Strauss Airport (MUC) 153 km away or Salzburg-W. A. Mozart (SZG) 89 km away. Please note that check in and check out day for this property is only Saturday. Your stay should be either for 7 or 14 nights.
Accommodation and Facilities
Traditional in style, the Ittererwirt has 25 comfortable bedrooms, all equipped with shower, toilet and cable television.
Further features include small reception and house bar, cosy Stube, with a traditional Kachelofen or tiled stove, a la carte restaurant and residents? dining room. The hotel also has a small sauna, which is free of charge to house guests three times weekly. The half board arrangement includes a breakfast buffet and three course evening meal with choice of main course and occasional salad buffet. Once weekly, your hosts arrange a special Tyrolean Farmers? Buffet. Festive meals are included at Christmas and New Year.
Location
The Ittererwirt is located in the centre of Itter. The ski hire is approximately 100 metres away and it is 300 metres to the nearest drag lift and the ski school meeting point. The main gondola, the Salvistabahn, is about 3 kilometres outside the village centre and the free ski bus stops outside. Snow conditions and ability permitting, one can ski back to the village at the end of the day.

Itter is part of Austria?s largest interconnecting ski region, the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental, which encompasses the resorts of Soll, Itter, Scheffau, Ellmau, Going, Brixen, Hopfgarten, Kelchsau and Westendorf. The area offers a wide range of runs for all standards and is ideal for beginners and experienced skiers alike.
In a recent survey on the Top Resort internet platform, the Skiwelt was placed 4th best in a list of 4000 skiing regions worldwide! A new eight seater gondola, the Skiwelt-Kitzbuheler Alpen lift, planned to be completed for Winter 2008-09, will complete the final connection in the Skiwelt between the resorts of Brixen and Westendorf. As Westendorf is already connected to Kirchberg (in the Kitzbuhel region), by the Ki-West gondola, this new lift will connect the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental to Kitzbuhel-Kirchberg. The entire region, known as the Kitzbuheler Alpen will then be one of the three largest interconnecting ski resorts in the world, and covered by one lift pass, the Kitzbuheler Alpen pass (upgrade on the Skiwelt lift pass). Ski Bus Service: A free ski bus service operates between Itter and the lift station for the main gondola, the Salvistabahn. Mini-bus taxis can be arranged locally, should skiers wish to access the skiing area from a feeder lift in another resort (local charge).
