This resort is set on a private tropical island, formerly the home of the British High Commissioner prior to Independence in 1970. A relaxed Vanuatu resort. Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in this part of the resort. MP0508.
Individual island bungalows scattered over the island (some bungalows are located on the hill) with the main complex housing the lobby, restaurant and bar.
Island Fares (bungalows), set in a lush tropical garden. All Fares were upgraded in 2004 and feature polished timber floors and new bathrooms. Each Fare features: private bathrooms, shady balcony, air-conditioning & ceiling fans, Australian and international TV (incl. 2 in house movie channels), bar fridge (mini bar is on request in some rooms), hair dryer, iron/ironing board and IDD phone. No kids under 12 years of age are allowed in this part of the resort. Each room contains either a queen size bed or a king size bed, ideal for couples. Island Fares refurbishment completed in March 2008.
Michener's Restaurant with a-la-carte dining with water views, specialising in local cuisine and seafood. Bali Hai cafe serves cafe style food and Tanna coffee, open daily. Watermark Bar & Grill is available to all guests including children, locals and day visitors. Michener's Restaurant and Bali Hai have been refurbished in early 2007.
A unique Melanesian style lobby with exceptional use made of local timbers. The Lobby opens to Micheners Restaurant and the Bali Hai Bar/Cafe.
Situated on a private island, 1.5 kilometre from Port Vila township and 6 kms from the airport. The resort offers a complimentary 24 hour ferry service across to the island (3 minutes each way). Vila is the capital of Vanuatu and is on the island of Efate.
