This modern 3-star hotel was inaugurated in 2004 and is situated in the centre of the Smichov district, about 10 mins by transport from the historical heart of the city. Simple and straightforward but modern and comfortable accommodation in a convenient location, with very helpful and welcoming staff and excellent reviews. Excellent value for money. ***LOCATION***The hotel is located in the shopping/business Andel area of the Smichov district (left bank of Vltava river), which is in the centre of Prague, however requires a short journey by public transport to the Old Town where most of the famous sights are located. There is a tram stop a few blocks from the hotel which takes guests directly to the Wenceslas Square/Old Town Square. Alternatively, there is the Andel metro station, just 3 minutes walk from the hotel, which is only 3 metro stops away from Wenceslas Square. The hotel is near the famous Bertramka Villa (Mozart museum) and only 1 min away from Prague¿s largest modern shopping centre (boutiques, supermarkets, restaurants and entertainment). The area is mainly residential and very safe. ***EXTERIOR***The property is a 6-storey modern block building with red façade and no interesting features. ***ROOMS***Rooms are small to medium in size and have all been refurbished in 2008. They are simply decorated in light, natural colours with new and modern wooden furniture. Bathrooms have shower stands only, but have great power showers. Rooms are very well sound-proofed so noise from the busy surrounding area does not bother the hotel¿s guests. They are reported to be spotlessly clean and well-maintained. ***RESTAURANTS & BARS***L¿Estaminet restaurant serves Czech and International cuisine and it is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (06:30 ¿22:30) Hotel bar (06:00 ¿ 01:00) A breakfast buffet with a great selection of warm and cold meals is included and served from 06:30 ¿ 10:00am but earlier or later times are also possible to arrange. ***OTHER INFORMATION ***The hotel offers an affiliated taxi service for fixed prices (cheaper than on-street taxis).
