In the heart of Kota Kinabalu s business district, this hotel overlooks the South China Sea and offers guests a wealth of on-site dining and entertainment, including a pool, fitness center, tour desk, gift shop, and elegant atrium. Also on site are meeting facilities, a business center, car rental desk, and luscious rooms with balconies. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. Hyatt Regency Kinabalu will begin the first of a four-phase renovation in May 2009, scheduled for completion end 2010. The transformation covers the hotel's 288 guestrooms and suites and the Regency Club Lounge. The creation of a modern swimming pool will be during the 4th phase of renovation. During the renovation period, the rest of the hotel and all restaurants will be operating as normal. There will be minimal impact to guest comfort as the work timings will be limited to daylight hours and the sites will not be visible to hotel guests when inside the building.
