Huntshaw Barton is an historic 14th century farmhouse set in beautiful North Devon countryside, surrounded by outstanding views. We offer a warm welcome, peace and relaxation. Our names are Stuart Ann Whitehead and we would like to share with you our family home for bed and breakfast accommodation and Primrose Cottage (within our grounds) for self-catering.We are close to Barnstaple (8 miles) and Bideford (4 miles) and the Civil War town of Great Torrington (3 miles). The Tarka Trail, RHS Rosemoor, Arlington Court, Hartland Abbey, Marwood Hill and many more beautiful gardens are nearby. Westward Ho! and Instow are 15 minutes away. A visit to the historic village of Clovelly is a wonderful experience (40 minutes drive). Take a day cruise to Lundy Island and you could see breeding puffins and seabirds, basking sharks and seals. The bed and breakfast is open all year. There is ample free off road parking. Pets welcome at prior notice , but there will be an extra charge. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children in the bed and breakfast, however they are welcome in Primrose Cottage.Primrose Cottage - Self CateringPrimrose cottage is a delightful two bedroom cottage set within the rural grounds of Huntshaw Barton, an historic Grade II listed farmhouse. This 16th century shippen has been lovingly restored by us and has been awarded four stars by Visit Britain. The cottage has maintained its own character, with slated roof and floors. The contours of the walls and floor levels are as they were hundreds of years ago. A few of the original beams and stone work are displayed within the walls.Please Note: We are a No-Smoking property. Small domestic pets allowed at extra charge. Check-In time: 15:30 and Check-Out time: 10:00.
