This is a traditional 6 storey building with a large entrance and a narrow car park at the front. The hotel was built in 1967 and was renovated in 1996 to 3 Star standard, and now following it's major transformation has become a Holiday Inn.
The rooms are medium in size, contemporary in style and are all ensuite. Full facilities are offered including flat screen TV, hairdryer, telephone, radio and trouser press. The decor is modern with bright colours and unique patterns on the furnishings.
Guest can unwind and relax in a modern, newly refurbished restaurant called 212 Kenilworth Bar and Brasserie. A good choice of modern cuisine is served. A new Starbucks Coffee house (part of the extensive renovation work) opened in August to residents - an interesting touch.
The hotel lobby is large and modern with a sky light enabling masses of natural light to come in. There is a long reception desk and seats placed near the window. There is lots of space for groups to check-in at the same time.
This newly refurbished hotel is situated in the heart of Kenilworth and is a short drive from Birmingham, the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) and Warwick. Kenilworth is a charming example of old england, and the 12th century Castle is a fascinating place to visit.
