The rooms are large. The earth tones in the plush carpeting go very well with the light brown polished wooden desk and wall unit which contains a set of drawers and also houses a large TV and mini-bar. For extra comfort there is an oversized chair with a side table. The bathrooms are well appointed with amenities.
The hotel offers several dining options; a restaurant serving dinner features steak and seafood. A seasonal restaurant, in the garden by the pool, offers snacks and beverages. In addition, the hotel has a cafe offering an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a lounge offering a selection of cocktails, specialty coffees, and sumptuous snacks. Visit the deli for breakfast or lunch, offering a great selection of fresh pastries, coffee, natural juices, deli sandwiches, and salads.
The lobby is large. The combination of marble flooring and carpet, coupled with polished wood columns, large floral arrangements, and spacious sitting areas with traditional furniture, gives the lobby an up-scale decor.
The hotel is located on a hill overlooking the Capital's skyline in downtown Washington DC. It is close to all the major sightseeing areas such as the Washington Monument, the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol building, and the National Zoo. Also very convenient to shopping and many restaurants. It is 20 minutes from Washington National Airport.
