This is a exceptional hotel situated in the heart of London. (06/06RP).
The hotel is a traditional building which benefitted from major refurbishment recently so looks very smart.
The rooms are small to medium, but in exceptional condition. The decor is typical, classic Edwardian style, with warm colour schemes, chandelier lighting and many rooms benefit from balconies. The bathrooms are very spacious and in very good condition.
The main restaurant is a lovely high-ceilinged room with palm trees and a raised seating area from which diners can look out over the whole room. The hotel's world famous 'Palm Court' is central London's only remaining regular afternoon tea dance venue.
The lobby is small, but very luxurious, with a grey marble floor, antique furniture, gold framed mirrors and beautiful chandeliers.
The hotel is situated in the heart of London's Theatreland overlooking the Aldwych, and is only minutes from all the major tourist attractions. The nearest underground station is Covent Garden just five minutes on foot from the hotel, the Thames is also just five minutes away.
