Great Huts is a unique, beachfront ecotourism destination near Port Antonio, and about 65 miles from Kingston's Norman Manley International Airport. The resort consists of African-style huts and tree houses within a jungle landscape perched upon cliffs overlooking Boston Bay and the Caribbean. Resort amenities include the African Lounge Bar, Boston Beach Jerk Centre, Norma's at the Marina, and private lookout over the ocean. Free breakfast is served in the open-air stone and stainless steel African kitchen. Guests are invited to cook dinner in the supervised kitchen or have the staff prepare meals. On Friday nights, a Jamaican- and West African-style fish and vegetable dinner is available, accompanied by songs by the children, drumming and African music, and spirituals. The hotel also offers free wireless Internet access. All accommodations feature handcrafted bamboo furnishings, exotic fabrics, tribal art, and driftwood beds. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.
