This is one of the oldest hotels in Norway. Guests wanting a very modern hotel will be disappointed. However, those who like a bit of charm from their hotel will be pleasantly surprised.
This is a traditional building.
As this is a very old hotel the rooms vary a great deal in size and shape. Rooms are of a reasonable standard and furnished to an adequate level. Room size in general is medium.
The dining room is one of the features of the hotel and is a popular venue at lunchtime as well as evenings. Food is reasonably priced and the surroundings are nice.
The actual reception area in the hotel is of a small size but adjoins a spacious sitting room housing several antique pieces of furniture.
The hotel is located adjacent to Bergen's central railway station, and while being relatively central this location is still about 10 minutes' walk to the major shopping area of Bergen and waterfront area.
