The Bahia Principe Resort is formed by (Tulum and Akumal) and is located in Riviera Maya, on the eastside of the Yucatan Peninsula. Designed by the prestigious Mexican architect, Fernando Quirarte, and inspired by the Puuc Mayan architectural period, the Bahia Principe Tulum and Akumal Hotel welcomes its guests with all of Mexico?s characteristic warmth. The one kilometre-long private beach, partly protected by a coral reef, is completely natural, and the large, manicured gardens will make your strolls around the complex all the more enjoyable. Walking through the property you can admire the wonderful tropical vegetation, nice gardens and protected areas where ecology and architecture combine perfectly.

The Bahia Principe Tulum has a total of 810 rooms, 36 of them are Junior suites (with whirlpool) distributed in 3 storey villas of 18 rooms each, most of them with direct sea-view and a maximum distance to the beach 150 m. All rooms have two full size or one king size beds, air conditioning, full bathroom, hairdryer, satellite TV, direct telephone, private safe (extra charge), mini-bar (free), and balcony or terrace. The Bahia Principe Akulum has 630 rooms, 558 of them are Junior suites (with whirlpool) and 72 Double rooms, distributed in 3 storey villas of 18 rooms each, most of them with direct sea-view. All rooms have two full size or one king size beds, air conditioning, full bathroom, hairdryer, satellite TV, direct telephone, private safe (extra charge), mini-bar, and balcony or terrace.
All Inclusive Food & Drinks
The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:00-10:30), lunch (12:30-15:30) and dinner (18:30-22:30), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. A la Carte dinner (18:00-22:30) is also available with prior reservation. During meals, sodas, water, house wine (red & white) and domestic alcoholic drinks are offered. Four a la carte restaurants ? two in Gran Bahia Principe Tulum & two in Gran Bahia Principe Akumal ? are at the disposal of the AI guests; Tulum: the grill Gran Tortuga & the Mexican Tequila / Akumal: the Italian Dolce Vita & the fish restaurant Frutos del Mar. Snacks such as hot dogs, nachos, French fries, hamburgers, ribs, nuggets, salads & fruit are available 24 hours at the snack bar. Both national & international drinks such as soft drinks, water, coffee, juices, whiskey, brandy, beer, milk, cocktails, international cocktails, rum, Martini, tequila & liqueurs are served at all restaurants during eating hours, at the pool bars from 10:00?18:00, in the lobby bars until 23:00, at the bars in the Hacienta Dona Isabel until 24:30 and at the disco until 02:30. As at the snack bars all drinks are available until 23:00, except from non-alcoholic drinks that are offered 24hrs.

All Inclusive General Information
Motorized water sports are not available, as they are not allowed by the government in order to protect the natural coral reefs.
Disabled Facilities
Disabled facilities include wheel-in showers, shower seats, grab rails and toilet raisers. Doors are 91cm wide. Access throughout the hotel is fine, although there are no ramps to the beach and the surrounding area is not adapted.

The Yucatan Peninsula is only a 60 minutes drive away from Cancún airport, 35 minutes away from Playa del Carmen and 20 minutes away from Tulum.
