It offers comfortable accommodation and a friendly welcome. Accommodation & Facilities The pension features 14 well appointed bedrooms, each with shower, toilet, satellite television and radio. Complimentary safe facilities are available on request. The bright public areas of the Pension Cafe Fuchs include reception, house bar, dining room, television room, cafe and a la carte restaurant as well as a sun terrace. The half board arrangement includes buffet breakfast and a three course evening meal. Delicious homemade cakes are available in the hotel?s cafe. Location The Pension-Cafe Fuchs is conveniently situated in a quiet part of Brixen, about 800 metres from the centre of this typically Tyrolean village. The train station is also approximately 800 metres from the hotel. Resort Information & Things to Do Brixen im Thale lies in the Brixen Valley, part of the Skiwelt Region in the heart of the Kitzbuhel Alps. It is a mere 5 kilometres from neighbouring Kirchberg, and only 11 kilometres from the famous Alpine resort of Kitzbuhel, Traditionally Tyrolean in character, Brixen has a great range of sporting and leisure facilities. Activities available in the local region include: Walking and Hiking: Idyllic valleys, soft hills, steep mountains ? the Skiwelt region is a diverse walking and hiking paradise with over 400 kilometres of marked paths for all standards. From July to September the Brixen Tourist Office organises free guided walking tours daily. For those who are less energetic, an excellent system of 14 lifts, cable cars and mountain railways interlink the area. A lift and walking pass?, valid on all 14 lifts in the villages of the region (including Soll, Scheffau, Ellmau, Going, Brixen im Thale, Hopfgarten, Itter and Westendorf) can be purchased locally. Swimming and Water sports: Brixen?s swimming and leisure centre features an outdoor lap pool, an outdoor adventure pool with jet stream, waterslide and massage jets, and a children?s pool. There is also a picturesque bathing lake and recreation area, with children?s playground, beach volleyball court and diving tower. The Filzamlsee mountain lake and recreation area is a short walk from the Hochbrixen lift mountain station. This idyllic lake is surrounded by an enchanting landscape of mountain pastures and provides plenty of opportunity to explore and discover. The area features a large paddling pool, mud pool and natural foot massages, as well as access to the wonderful walking paths and routes in the Skiwelt Region. Several traditional mountain inns, offering mouth-watering local specialities are also in the local area. Cycling and Mountain Biking: Brixen and the surrounding area are known as the Bike Eldorado of the Alps, with over 800 kilometres of paths and tracks. Routes range from gentle family paths to mountain routes for the most extreme bikers. Golf: Kitzbuhel, about 10 minutes away, is known as The Alpine Golf Centre, lies just 11 kilometres from Brixen and boasts five golf courses including the Eichenheim, Kitzbuhel Kaps, Golf & Country Club Larchenhof, Kitzbuhel Schwarzsee and Golf & Landclub Ramushof. They offer a total of 54 holes. Further 18-hole golf courses are located in the vicinity. Novice golfers are recommended to take lessons at the Golf School or Academy. Indoor and outdoor tennis courts, mini-golf, fishing and horse riding are also available. The Brixen Tourist Office arranges a fitt and active programme from July to September, with daily activities. A great range of day excursions to nearby places of interest may be booked locally.
