Fowey Hall is a 19th-century Cornish mansion set in five acres of gardens with spectacular views of the sea and a location that's approximately 35 miles from Newquay Airport. Fowey Hall is a member of Von Essen Hotels, a private collection of individual country houses in the UK, Scotland, and France. It is rich in architecture with its baroque plasterwork, vaulted ceilings, exotically wood paneled public rooms, and elaborate fireplaces. In years gone by it is said to be the inspiration for Kenneth Graemes toad of Toad Hall in his book Wind in the Willows and regularly welcomed royal visitors.
Hotel amenities include the indoor pool, wooden outdoor play area and sandpit, summer lawn games, breakfast buffet, and message services. Dining can be done in the main restaurant or on the terrace. Families are welcome and children's meals are available twice a day.
All rooms feature wireless Internet access (on request), hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, and TVs. Suites and interconnecting rooms are also available. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.
