The Four Queens Hotel and Casino is a major downtown property occupying an entire city block on Fremont Street. One of the last bastions of old Las Vegas, the Four Queens makes liberal use of mirrors and bright lights in public spaces. The hotel's casino is the jackpot capital of the world, with the best variety of the most popular slots and video poker. Centrally located in the casino is the Nickel Palace, where the nickel-slot player reigns supreme. The Four Queens has four restaurants, the most notable of which is Hugo's Cellar. This is one of the few gourmet places in downtown. It has a romantic atmosphere that is a favorite among locals, perhaps because each female diner receives a rose. Other offerings include laundry service, dry cleaning, valet parking, and gift shop. The twin 19-story towers offer 690 clean, comfortable rooms. The amenities that follow are available for a fee: hairdryer, iron/ironing board, safe, refrigerator, and cable television. The extra person charge is $15. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.
